Cameras
During virtual meetings, it’s valuable to see the people attending. To do this, each participant must use a camera. How many cameras and what type depends upon their intended use.
If you are using a personal computer, an integrated or external camera should suit your purposes. Where a camera is not integrated, the following models are found to be effective. Please note that when numerous people in a room need to be seen, pan, tilt and zoom camera controls enable the most flexibility.
Standard VGA Logitech WebCam C200
- A 640 x 480 pixel VGA sensor provides users with rich and lifelike colour
- 1.3 megapixel photo capture allows users to take still images and photos

High Quality Logitech Webcam Pro 9000
- Carl Zeiss optics with auto-focus provide more detail and clarity resulting in razor sharp and up-close images.
- High-definition video provides 960 x 720 pixel resolution.

Low Cost Microsoft Lifecam VX700
- Stylish and compact design allows portability between multiple locations.
- Universal attachment base allows the webcam to work with a desktop PC or notebook.
- True video graphics array (VGA) video

Display Devices
There are several options when using display devices. The chosen device(s) depends on the intended use.
- Computer monitor (laptop or desktop): one to two people
- Two or more monitors: single user or a few people
- Panel displays: They can form the basis of a smaller room display for up to a dozen people
- Projectors: The most common choice for room/theatre installations where large numbers of people congregate in one location
It is important to keep in mind that displays are used for numerous purposes. You may want to be able to view an application’s control windows, video streams and presentations from shared desktops all at the same time. The more space available, the easier it is to see everything and the more flexibility for arranging items for a better meeting experience.
