Improve Your Compute Cloud Experience
ARCS is now offering Cloud Compute training sessions twice a month to help new and existing users optimise their experiences. Participants can discuss any Cloud Computing topic with an ARCS expert, including:
- Available applications and how to use them
- How to add a new application
- How to compile and run jobs
- Interaction between the Compute Cloud and ARCS Data Fabric
The sessions are held the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 2-3 p.m. AEST in an EVO meeting called “ARCS Compute Cloud Training Session.” Registration is not required. Improve Your EVO Experience
The Australian Research Collaboration Service provides test sessions for users of the EVO video collaboration tool on Mondays. These sessions are intended as opportunities for EVO users to test and refine their EVO set-ups, with ARCS staff on-hand to provide advice. The sessions are designed to assist both regular users and those new to EVO.
Please note that the session format has been changed to be a combined test session for users of both EVO and Access Grid, and thus now gives the opportunity for gaining familiarity with improvements in compatability between the two applications. Also, the time of the test session has altered to 11 QLD time.
Bookings are not required, and these test session run for 30 minutes from the starting times given below.

Further, ARCS provides 15-minute group or personal sessions designed to help people more effectively use EVO – our desktop video collaboration solution. The short sessions include testing user settings and providing personalised tips to immediately improve the software's reliability and functionality. By solving issues such as cloudy or missing video, echoing or muted sound, ambient noise and screen sharing malfunctions, users can boost EVO’s dependability while garnering all its collaboration benefits. The sessions are designed to assist both regular users and those new to EVO.

Improve Your Access Grid Experience
The Australian Research Collaboration Service provides Access Grid test sessions designed to help people more effectively use Access Grid. The sessions are intended to test users' Access Grid installations, as well as to provide tips and other practical knowledge. Subjects covered range from configuration settings within the Access Grid Toolkit to how network issues can affect system usage.The sessions are designed to assist both regular users and those new to Access Grid.
