Grisu is the system that supports job submissions on the Australian Research Collaboration Service’s (ARCS) National Grid. It provides a simple-to-use graphical user interface that can be adapted for each high performance computing application.

The easiest way to authenticate yourself on Grisu is to log on with your institutional username and password. Use Grix if you need to use Grid authentiation certificates directly.

System users must have Java 1.5 (or a newer version) installed to run applications on the ARCS Compute Cloud client. Install Java.

To have access to the ARCS National Grid using Grisu, first register for ARCS Services. After registering, users can launch Grisu (via the link on this site's home page, in the "Cloud Computing" box) with their institutional username and password.

Grisu comes with a number of standard templates. If you want to create a custom template for your own applications and work flows, ARCS can assist. Contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to request additional information.
