Accessing ARCS Services: Firewall/Proxy Configuration Requests

ARCS and CAUDIT have together sought to arrive at an agreed set of network security configurations that will facilitate the provision of ARCS services. This understanding will help both ARCS and CAUDIT members be responsive to each other’s needs when ARCS services are to be made available to a CAUDIT member.

This document provides both the lists of hosts (sub-nets) and the ports used by the core ARCS services listed below. The aim is to provide all the information needed for institutions to implement access in the way that suits their systems best.

This document also is intended as a focus for discussion on providing routine network access to ARCS services and institutions are invited to discuss their own requirements with ARCS. Institutions that want to discuss this document should contact ARCS.
